Are You going to Scarborough Faire? We Are!
With apologies to Simon & Garfunkel, The Texins Dive Club will be descending upon the Scarborough Renaissance Festival on Saturday, April 27th.
That’s Viking & Barbarian weekend at the Festival, so we should fit right in! Long-time club members Grover & Nancy Sherlin have a stained-glass emporium set up at the Festival, so we will be visiting with them, of course, between looting and pillaging the various food vendors and other attractions.
We will be assembling at the Festival’s front gate at 10:30 a.m., where the Texins Dive Club will be covering $20 of the admission fee. If you arrive late, call Lora at 512-423-8263 once you’re inside, and we can arrange to meet up.
The Sherlins suggested that southbound traffic on I-35 is particularly heavy during the Festival, so if you can arrange to arrive at the Festival on Highway 66 from the west, you’ll encounter much less traffic.
Sounds like good advice…
